Where the car waits in Riviera

Riviera is roughly 69 mid-rise buildings wrapped around a 2.7 km lagoon, and almost all of the parking is in covered basements tied to each block. That setup is fine once you have a resident permit, but a hire car landing here for the first time is the awkward part. Visitor bays fill fast on the boulevard side, and the basements are gated to residents.

This is why we deliver to the building rather than ask you to come to us. We meet you at your tower entrance off the internal road, do the paperwork in the lobby or at the kerb, and you take the car down to your own bay or straight out. For day-to-day use inside MBR City, a compact is the sensible pick. Salik and what the route out actually costs

You can reach Downtown and Dubai Mall in around ten to fifteen minutes without crossing a Salik gate, if you stay on Al Meydan Street and the internal MBR City roads rather than jumping onto a tolled crossing. Plenty of daily trips from here cost you nothing in tolls.

The gate to watch is Business Bay Crossing on Al Khail Road, which you cross if you cut west toward Business Bay or the Marina side. Salik is AED 6 during peak hours, 06:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, and AED 4 off-peak, with crossings free between 01:00 and 06:00. Sundays and public holidays are a flat AED 4 all day. If you head onto Sheikh Zayed Road you pick up Al Safa instead, charged the same way. Linked gates within an hour count as a single charge.

Salik is read automatically as you pass and we pass the exact toll on to you, no markup. So plan your week around it. A daily school or office run that stays inside Meydan and Downtown can be toll-free, while a regular hop to JLT or the Marina will add a couple of crossings a day that are worth budgeting for.

Delivery and handover at your tower

Booking is done before we arrive, so the handover at your building is short. Have your documents ready and we are usually back on the road in a few minutes. Residents need a UAE driving licence and Emirates ID. Visitors staying in a Riviera apartment need a passport, a home licence, and an International Driving Permit where your nationality requires one, plus a card in the renter's name.

Tell us the building number and the nearest tower entrance when you book, because Riviera's blocks repeat and the lagoon splits the community. Riviera 41, Riviera 1, Reve, whichever it is, the building number is what gets us to the right door instead of circling the boulevard. If your block is valet-only for guests, say so and we will coordinate the drop with the valet desk.

No deposit, and how fines are settled

We hold no deposit, and you can pay with a debit card. That matters here because residents and long-stay tenants would rather not have a chunk of money frozen for the length of a rental. Nothing is blocked against your card up front.

The honest trade-off is how tolls and fines are reconciled afterward. Salik crossings are added at the original rate once the rental closes. Dubai enforces traffic rules heavily by camera, and the radars on Al Khail Road and Ras Al Khor near you are active, so if a fine comes through it gets passed on with a flat admin fee, with the original charge shown to you. Nothing is invented and nothing is held hostage against a deposit you never paid. Drive to the cameras and there is nothing to settle beyond your tolls.
