The petrol car still makes sense if your rate is the priority and you're covering longer highway stretches, where the hybrid's city advantage shrinks. The 1.5-litre turbo makes 147 to 156 hp depending on tune; the hybrid lifts combined output to 188 hp, so it's also the quicker of the two off the line. Both drive the front wheels.
